Sarah, an Alocasia Sarian, is something pretty special. She's actually a hybrid of two very popular Alocasia, the Zebrina and the Micholitziana or Frydek.
Essentially, you're getting the stunning shape and markings of the Zebrina stem, mixed with the beautiful leaf of the Frydek!
She has leathery, wavy-edged, arrowhead-shaped, dark green leaves, with wide, bright white main veins and long, thick, striped petioles.
Sarah, Alocasia Sarian
Sarah prefers bright indirect light to partial shade without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
