Beatrix, a baby Alocasia Amazonica Bambino Arrow or Jewel Alocasia, is a close relative of the Pippa, our Alocasia Polly. Just like Pippa, Beatrix has dark green leaves with silver-white veins that almost look like a bolt of lightning.
Native to the rainforests of South America, Beatrix is used to swamp-like conditions, so make sure you don’t let her dry out or she might not forgive you!
Beatrix, Baby Alocasia Bambino Arrow
Beatrix prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
