Beatrix, a baby Alocasia Amazonica Bambino Arrow or Jewel Alocasia, is a close relative of the Pippa, our Alocasia Polly. Just like Pippa, Beatrix has dark green leaves with silver-white veins that almost look like a bolt of lightning.

Native to the rainforests of South America, Beatrix is used to swamp-like conditions, so make sure you don’t let her dry out or she might not forgive you!

  • Beatrix prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun
