Brody, a Blue Star Fern 'Davana' or Phlebodium Aureum 'Davana', is a more rare variety of Brad, our regular Blue Star Fern. Just like his cousin, Brody has blue-green leaves with delicate stems, however, his leaves more frilly.

Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, Brody is an epiphyte, which means he's more often than not found growing in and around other trees or rocks.

Believe it or not, when Brody is happy he gets big, sometimes with leaves as long as 1.3m! Don't worry though, indoors he won't get this big, so he won't need his own room.

  • Brody prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun
