Celina, a Caladium White Christmas, has heart-shaped, silvery-white leaves paired with striking dark green veins and edges. This is where she gets her name from, because she looks like a fresh white dusting of snow on a Christmas morning.

Caladiums are well known for their big, heart-shaped, leaves that provide amazing color combinations. Though Caladiums rarely flower, their beautiful foliage guarantee a colorful show year-round.

Native to the rainforests of South America, Celina is a tuberous plant, which means her leaves will die back during the winter months and eventually go dormant. Don't worry though, you can save her tubers and once springtime comes around, she'll be back!

Believe it or not, Celina can tolerate both sunny spots and areas with partial shade - basically, she'll be happy almost anywhere. Contrary to popular belief, if you want your Caladiums colour to really pop, some shade can actually help!

  • Celina prefers indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight wouldn’t go a miss.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun
