Nigel, a Codiaeum Nervia, Croton Nervia, shows colours ranging from dark and light green to yellow, orange, red, and even pink – on top of that, his veins are usually opposing colours which make for a striking look!
The Codiaeum family displays a kaleidoscope of colours and leaf shape, both of which can change with age - plus, they're one of the best air fresheners around!
Nigel, Codiaeum Nervia
Nigel prefers bright light and a few hours of direct sunlight per day is recommended – that being said, avoid mid-day sun as this could cause the leaves to fade.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
