Leon, a Dracaena Lemon Surprise, has dark green, chartreuse, and white leaves, that almost burst from the center in staggered layers. Leon's leaves also have a slight twist or curl, giving him a little something extra to show off with.
There are more than 40 cultivated varieties of Dracaena, which are originally from forests in Africa. In the wild, they can grow to a height of 6 metres or more but don't worry, its unlikely indoor plants will get this big!
Leon, Dracaena Lemon Surprise
Leon prefers indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight wouldn’t go a miss.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
