Eliza, a Codiaeum Variegatum Pictum 'Excellent', is one of the most unusual and eye-catching houseplants you'll come across! Her leaves are typically glossy to touch and shaped like small daggers or flames which means she resembles a bonfire!
Her colours range from dark and light greens to yellows, oranges, reds, and even pinks – then on top of that, her veins are usually opposing colours which make for a striking look! Because of the variety of colours Eliza can be found in, your Codiaeum may look slightly different to the snaps above!
Eliza, Codiaeum Excellent - Small
Eliza prefers bright light and a few hours of direct sunlight per day is recommended – that being said, avoid mid-day sun as this could cause the leaves to fade.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
