Just like fruit & veg, plants come in all shapes and sizes. Some might not come top of a beauty contest, but they'll still put a smile on your face for years to come. Our Perfectly Imperfect Plants are exactly that. They might be a strange shape or have the odd mark, but they're still beautiful. No matter which way these plants grow, or the marks they show, they're still as healthy as every other plant we sell.
What are my imperfections?
- There's not really much wrong with me, apart from the fact I'm a little bear
- I might have the odd mark or two, but that's normal for me
- As I'm not 'perfect', I can't be returned, and I'm not covered by a guarantee
Laurence, a Snake Plant, or Sansevieria Laurentii, is as tough as they come and will survive almost anything you throw at him. He grows primarily across Africa, which means he's used to both hot and dry conditions.
To deal with the hottest temperatures during the day he actually closes his pores stopping any water loss by evaporation. Then, at night when the temperature drops all of its pores open up releasing all the oxygen they've been holding onto - that's why they're such great air purifyers.
Perfectly Imperfect, Sansevieria Laurentii
Laurence can cope with any light conditions you throw at him, ranging from bright sunlight all the way down to shady corners.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
