Millie, a Codiaeum Mammi or Joseph's Coat, is in our opinion one of the most unusual and eye-catching houseplants you'll find! Her leaves are slightly matte in texture and have an almost curly appearance - kind of like a flame don’t you think?
Millie's colours range from dark and light greens to yellows, oranges, reds, and even pinks – on top of that, her veins are usually opposing colours which make for a striking look!
The Codiaeum family displays a kaleidoscope of colours and leaf shape, both of which can change with age - plus, they're one of the best air fresheners around!
Millie, Codiaeum Mammi - Small
Millie prefers bright light and a few hours of direct sunlight per day is recommended – that being said, avoid mid-day sun as this could cause the leaves to fade.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
