Neo, an Epipremnum Aureum N'Joy or Pothos N'Joy, is one of the less common members of the wider pothos family. His bright green leaves are covered with cream patches which distinguishes him from his cousins.

Interestingly, different varieties of Pothos handle light levels differently. Variegated varieties, like Neo, which have white or yellow stripes on their leaves, tend to prefer brighter conditions. A darker area won't kill Neo, but he might lose some of his variegation!

Neo loves to show off his vines and looks great either trailing or hanging, plus he can also be trained upwards. His trailing vines can reach up to 40 feet in the wild and can be easily propagated by taking cuttings. The whole family is also great at purifying the air around us – bonus points!

  • Neo prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun
