Oscar, a Philodendron Prince of Orange, gets its name from its bright and colourful leaves, which change colour over time. His new growth starts a starburst yellow when it first emerges, transitioning first to copper tones, and then finally settling into darker shades of green.

If Oscar is happy, he'll show off with white flowers that have pink and red spathes, lasting for a few weeks. Because he's a larger variety of Philodendron, Myles can grow to be around 2 feet tall and even wider. But, don't worry, he's slow growing, so you won't run out of space anytime soon.

  • Oscar prefers indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight wouldn’t go a miss.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun
