Samuel, a Sansevieria Samurai, or Ehrenbergii 'Samurai Dwarf', has alternating leaf pairs fanning out to create an appealing architectural shape. Just like his cousins, Samuel is as tough as they come and will survive almost anything you throw at him.
Samuel is harder to find than his cousins, and because he's a dwarf variety, he stays lovely and compact, making him a great choice for small spaces.
He grows primarily across Africa, which means he's used to both hot and dry conditions. To deal with the hottest temperatures during the day they actually close their pores stopping any water loss by evaporation. Then, at night when the temperature drops all of its pores open up releasing all the oxygen they've been holding onto - that's why they're such great air purifiers.

Samuel can cope with any light conditions you throw at her, ranging from bright sunlight all the way down to shady corners.

- Half shadow = indirect light
