Sirius, a Snake Plant, or Sansevieria Zeylanica, is as tough as they come and will survive almost anything you throw at him. They grow primarily across Africa which means they're used to both hot and dry conditions.

To deal with the hottest temperatures during the day they actually close their pores stopping any water loss by evaporation. Then, at night when the temperature drops all of its pores open up releasing all the oxygen they've been holding onto - that's why they're such great air purifyers.

    • Minimal shadow = lower light

    • Full shadow = direct sun
