Stacey, an Aglaonema Spotted Star or Chinese Evergreen, was brought to the UK in the late 1800s and became popular because of her low-maintenance properties. The name Aglaonema comes from the Greek word for bright, ‘Aglos’, and thread, ‘nema’, due to her variegated leaves.
Stacey is definitely one for lovers of bright colours, her wide broad leaves are splashed with dark pinks, light reds, and greens.
Native to southeast Asia, Stacey is most commonly found basking in the dappled light under large tropical trees.

Stacey prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.
