Gloria, a String of Hearts Silver Glory, can be differentiated from Hetty, our regular hearts, by her shape and colour. Gloria is less heart like and her colouring is more silver-green than pink.
Formally named Ceropegia Woodii, Gloria is native to South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe, and will happily live outside even with the hot temperatures - in the UK she’s best left indoors! Her stems can grow very very long, so put her somewhere high and watch it trail!
Gloria, String of Hearts Silver Glory
Gloria prefers bright indirect light, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
