Riley, a Tradescantia Tricolour Rosa or Wandering Jew, is top-draw when it comes to colour. Her long graceful leaves are striped green, cream, and pink. As she grows longer, she looks great hanging or trailing down off a shelf!
Native to Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico, Riley is a hugely popular houseplant the world over because she's easy to care for. Occasionally, Riley will flower, revealing tiny pink or purple flowers, which might only last a single day!
Riley, Tradescantia Tricolour Rosa
Riley prefers bright indirect light without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
