Trisha, a Tradescantia Nanouk or Moses-in-the-cradle, is a winner when it comes to colour. Her long graceful leaves are striped green and cream, with a bright pink-purple underside. As she grows longer, she looks great hanging or trailing down off a shelf!

Native to Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico, Trisha is a hugely popular houseplant the world over because she's easy to care for. Occasionally, Trisha will flower, revealing tiny white blooms in the centre of the plant - in fact, these flowers are how this plant gets its nickname, Moses-in-the-cradle.

  • Trisha prefers bright indirect light without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun
