Rylie, a Variegated Peperomia Ripple, is a popular plant because of her succulent, pointed, heart-shaped, deeply textured leaves. Her leaves are a mixture of greens, whites, and earthy colours, with prominent, sunken veins.
Interestingly, Rylie contains both male and female flowers on the same spike, and more often than not blooms under conditions with less than 12 hours of light each day.
Rylie is one of over 1,000 members of the Peperomia family, most of which are native to Central and South America.
Rylie, Variegated Peperomia Ripple
Rylie prefers medium to bright light.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
