Uma, a Variegated Umbrella Tree or Schefflera Charlotte, has oval leaves that fan out from a central stalk, resembling an umbrella - hence the name.
Her leaves are a deep green colour, paired with white-yellow variegation, meaning she'' add both depth and color to your home.
Native to Asia, in the wild Uma will happily grow to 15ft tall, but don't worry, she's unlikely to get that big in your home!
Uma, Variegated Umbrella Tree
Uma prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight wouldn’t go a miss.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
