PROJECT OUTLINES

PRODUCT PROJECT

Growhouse

The main focus of this project was to design an attractive and engaging product that addresses water management within the urban environment. The idea was to redesign existing methods for growing vegetables. It is aimed at novice gardeners with little space to accommodate conventional greenhouses, and little time outside of other commitments.

The product is virtually self-sustaining, so the user will not need to constantly care for the plants being grown. The product will harvest and store rainwater, then water the plants when necessary.

SYSTEMS PROJECT

City Cycle

This project is mainly focused on the safety of cyclists on main roads in cities and towns. The aim of this project was to develop a new system that will increase the safety of cycling within these towns and cities. Research was undertaken in order to evaluate current products available to promote safety. There is a need for a new system that eradicates dangers posed to cyclists creating a safer environment.

The final outcome produced a design for a series of pathways and tunnels that amalgamate with existing bike paths in major cities, removing cyclists from the danger of the roads.
