Lighting environments with a focus on behavioural changes

 

The project was to design and develop a lighting system that enhances natural light within a hospital outpatients department.  The aim was to create a relaxing space and reduce white coat hypertension.  White coat hypertension occurs in response to the environment, especially the presence of the measuring nurse or physician.  Incidence has variably been recorded between 12% and 50%.  The design specified generates a greater amount of natural light within the environment it should reduce the anxiety levels of the patient therefore improving staff and patient relationships.

 

 

MAJOR PROJECT

 

Tea making within residential care

 

This project was to design and develop a tea making system for residents within a residential care home. Collaboration was held with Pendine Park who are an award winning care organization based in North Wales. Collaboration was also held with Caffi Cristobal who are award winning tea wholesaler with 40 year experience in the industry based in North Wales.  The aim was to enhanced the life of residents and giving them a sense of normality by enabling them to make their own cup of tea.
