PROJECT OUTLINES
PROUDCT PROJECT
ModuCoop
This project was to design and make a chicken coop that customers could adapt and expand at their own pace. It is designed for people who have small gardens and therefore don't want to give up excess space.
The ModuCoop allows customers to add up to two extra main module's when they feel like, meaning that in total then can keep up to 9 chickens; as each module will house three. The base of the coop allows the chickens access and is also a place where their food and water dispensers can be placed.
The coop comes with optional roofs, one is just a basic roof, there is a planter option than can be used for flowers or herbs, and there is a storage option where the chickens feed could be stored.
SYSTEMS PROJECT
NHS Lone Worker Safety
Currently NHS lone workers are required to work alone in clients homes which can leave them vulnerable. The only sense of 'protection' that the nurses have are lone worker devices which can often be unsuccessful.
The project was about making lone workers feel more confident in themselves and their capabilities when facing compromising situations; whether this is verbal abuse or potential physical abuse.
It has features such as high visibility material so that the lone workers can be identified in the evenings and during night shifts, but also when working in rural areas. The knee's have also been fitted with padding so the lone workers are more comfortable when they are required to kneel to treat a patient.
